Pep Guardiola has received some encouraging news in the build-up to Barcelona's Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao as Alexis Sanchez has resumed regular training action after a spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The Chile international last featured for the Blaugrana in the 7-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, and has since been out of action due to a thigh injury.
Alexis consequently missed the league games against Malaga, Espanyol and Betis.
Nevertheless, Barcelona have now announced on their official website that the former Udinese star has been given the green light from the club's medical staff, and has resumed squad training.
The 23-year-old is widely expected to make his comeback in the Copa del Rey final against Bilbao on May 25. Barca will be without injured duo Carles Puyol and David Villa.
