Hollywod actor Will Ferrell and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay were both injured representing the Rest of the World in their 3-1 defeat to England during Sunday night's Soccer Aid match.
In what was supposed to be a friendly game played between celebrities and retired professionals for charity, the 'Kitchen Nightmares' star ended up being stretchered off the field while receiving oxygen and was hospitalised following a heavy challenge by former England international Teddy Sheringham midway through the second half.
The former Rangers trialist's injury halted the game for 10 minutes as he received treatment, but after a night in hospital he tweeted: "Thanks for all the messages. Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine."
'The Other Guys' and 'Old School' star Ferrell was also substituted late during the second half as he suffered a leg injury which left him limping off the field.
The match, which took place at Old Trafford, saw veteran footballers line up with stars from other fields as they aimed to raise money for the children's charity Unicef, with the event eventually raising more than £5 million on the night.
Both teams had an array of talent representing them, with Kasabian guitarist and man of the match Serge Pizzorno opening the scoring with a sublime chip over former Arsenal and England goalkeeper David Seaman.
However, the England XI hit back with three goals in the second half, courtesy of Sheringham, actor Jonathan Wilkes and still-playing Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips to earn victory.
English stars such as Robbie Williams, JLS' Aston Merrygold and Olly Murs teamed up with the likes of ex-pros Graeme Le Saux, Des Walker and Martin Keown to face a raft of Hollywood A-listers including Mike Myers, Gerard Butler, Edward Norton, and Woody Harrelson.
Playing alongside them for the Rest of the World were legends of the game like Clarence Seedorf, Jaap Stam, Hernan Crespo and Roy Keane.
