Eden Hazard believes Belgium should have defeated England in the wake of his nation's 1-0 defeat at Wembley on Saturday ahead of Euro 2012.

Danny Welbeck's solitary goal moments before the break sealed the win for the Three Lions, but the Chelsea-bound ace insists his side played the better football and deserved the win.

"We deserved a victory," Hazard told reporters. "When we had the ball, I think we played better."

Hazard, who is finally set to complete his protracted move to the Blues from Lille, then gave his opinion on how England will fare in Poland and Ukraine, as they prepare to kick off their European campaign against France in Donetsk on June 11.

"It's hard to judge England, because it was their last game before the Euro's," he explained.

"It's a great team. They have arguments, but if France are on a good day, they can do something.

"I saw France against Serbia and they impressed me in the first half. They can win against England, though England also know big games."
