Fourth-seeded Nadal and Marcel Granollers opted not to play their Final 8 match, handing the semis ticket to Michal Kohlmann and Florian Mayer of Germany.
Incidentally, Nadal, top seed in the singles event, absorbed a shocking 6-3, 6-4 loss to No. 8 Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany in the quarters.
Huey and American Scott Lipsky are battling the German pair at presstime.
