The Catalans are reluctant to let the 23-year-old take part in this summer's tournament after previously featuring at Euro 2012, as they fear the left-back will not have had enough rest ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.
Nevertheless, Alba has insisted that his fitness will not be a problem and that he is looking forward to the Games.
"I'm a young guy and I'm feeling very well. I would have been the first to give up on the Olympics if I wasn't feeling fit enough," Alba stated to AS.
"I would not have gone if I wasn't feeling well. I'm really looking forward to the tournament, though, and I'm keen to get going.
"I talked with the coach before the Euros and told him that I wanted to go to the Olympics. We all know the importance of the event. I'm very enthusiastic."
Spain have been drawn alongside Japan, Honduras and Morocco in Group D.
