Dwyane Wade, Mike Tyson and other sports stars send messages of support for Yolanda victims
Basketball and boxing are two of the most popular sports in the Philippines. After the Yolanda ravaged the southern part of the country, popular boxers and NBA players were the first to send their thoughts are prayers to the victims through their social media accounts.
The NBA has already made two donations of $250,000 and some players are also helping out by tweeting a link where donations could be made. Pau Gasol, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Ricky Rubio and Tyson Chandler were some of the stars who sent their regards. Floyd Mayweather was the first to tweet his support as early as Sunday. Former heavyweight champs Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis also expressed their support through Twitter.
