PBA players shocked over outburst even as Balkman says sorry
From “Balkman-imal” to “Balkman-anakal.”
Petron import Renaldo Balkman’s stunning meltdown that culminated in his trying to strangle teammate Arwind Santos in the waning moments of the Blaze Boosters’ 73-83 loss to the Alaska Aces has, as expected, become a trending topic on Twitter, with several PBA players weighing in on the bizarre incident, even as the former New York Knick immediately tweeted an apology to the fans and his teammates.
Former San Miguel star and current Barako Bull forward Danny Seigle (@dannyseigle42) labeled the act as “unprofessional.”
Let's get real.We all at some point want to strangle someone but to actually Do It?! And to your teammate no less #unprofessional #meltdown

Siegle’s current teammate, Doug Kramer (@DougKramer44), stated:
What a strange ending. You don't do that to your teammates.

San Mig Coffee forward Joe Devance (@jdv_38) told the 28-year-old Balkman to “grow up,” saying:
He is a great player n all but damn!!! His own teammate tho!!!! He better grow up

Barako Bull forward/center Don C Allado (@alotofDON), like most of the viewers, was caught by surprise.

Later, an obviously subdued Balkman, who is expected to be summoned by pro league commissioner Chito Salud as early as Monday, also took to Twitter to express his regret over the incident, while also apologizing to Santos and Ronald Tubid, whom he shoved hard.
