Tickets to Rockets-Pacers preseason game cost a fortune

Ticket prices for October 10’s NBA preseason game between the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena have been released – and they won’t come cheaply.

NBA Asia announced Friday that the tickets to this first-ever NBA preseason game to be held in the country will go on sale starting June 16, and prices start at P550 for limited seating  - less than 500 - up in the rafters of the MOA Arena (grey color).

After that, the price jumps to P4,200 for Section D (orange), then P8,400 for Section C (blue), P27,000 for Premium B (green), before topping out at a whopping P32,300 for Premium A (red), the seats closest to both sides of the court where one can get to see Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Paul George and Roy Hibbert up close.

Tickets will be available via SM Tickets. Per SM Tickets policy, a person may purchase only two tickets.

The Pacers are currently trailing the Miami Heat, 3-2, in the Eastern Conference Finals, while the Rockets were ousted in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder. If the Pacers somehow go on the beat the Heat and then the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, they will arrive here in October as the defending NBA champions.
