Alexandre Pato has revealed that he is eyeing a place in the Brazil squad for this summer's Olympic football tournament in London.
The 2011-12 campaign has been one to forget for the 22-year-old, who has scored just once in 11 Serie A appearances for AC Milan after being plagued with a succession of muscle injuries.
However, Pato now wants to put his setbacks behind him, as he admits being recalled by the Selecao is now his main priority for the immediate future.
"I've been working hard," Pato told TV show Esporte Espetacular.
"After Copa America, I have only been thinking about the Olympics. I'm 22 years old, I am confident [about a recall]."
In addition to his injury troubles, Pato was seemingly on the cusp of swapping Milan for Paris Saint-Germain in a €35 million transfer in January, but the forward did not want to be drawn into discussing his future.
"The only way is to do my talking on the pitch. I will try to regain my best form."
