Petron Blaze Look to Stay Hot Against Talk ‘N Text

WHAT THIS GAME MEANS

Reality check.

Is this really happening? Petron atop the standings and Talk ‘N Text deep in 7th place? Really now?

We got so used to the Tropa being the dominant team and the Boosters self-destructing in their drama. But now, looks like there’s been a reversal of roles. The question is: for how long?

This game will be a test for both teams – mostly for Petron, actually. A win over the powerhouse TNT can prove that they’re really over the drama and ready for the good stuff. As for Talk ‘N Text, this is also a challenge. Are the glory days over? Or is this just a minor slump?

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

A possible, nay, probable shootout.

Simply put, these teams boast of two of the deepest line-ups in the league. You can take their second stringers and they’ll put up a fight against other teams’ starting units.

No one should be surprised if this turns out to be a high-scoring affair. These squads just have too much firepower in them. They have the tools to score from practically anywhere from the court. Not to mention they have two of the top imports this conference.

WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR

Tony Mitchell.

He’s probably the best scorer in the league this conference. And with Talk ‘N Text finding themselves in a struggle, expect him to try to take over. I’m talking about around-40-attempts takeover. He’ll most likely let his teammates find their rhythm early on. But if they don’t, Tony’s gonna turn the switch on and impose himself.

Sure, 40 attempts sounds crazy. But you can’t blame him. He’s the import. His contract (and salary) obliges him to be the superhero that saves the day.
