The Philippine Azkals, who are currently in Bacolod, Negros Occidental for the Peace Cup, received a jolt early Tuesday morning when the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that hit the Visayas sent them scampering out of their hotel rooms.

The quake, whose epicenter was located near Carmen, Bohol, was recorded at magnitude 5.2 in Negros, and was strong enough to cause the water in the hotel's swimming pool spill over, according some reports on Twitter.

Some Azkals immediately tweeted about their experience.

This is the third time that the Azkals have felt a strong a quake either while training or competing in a tournament. The team was training in Japan when the the massive 8.9 earthquake that spawned a killer tsunami struck on March 11, 2011, although they were far from the epicenter. Just two weeks later, while in Myanmar for the AFC Challenge Cup, the Azkals were in the ninth floor of their hotel room when a magnitude 7.0 quake hit the country.

The Azkals, who lost to Chinese Taipei, 2-1, last Friday, battle Pakistan on Tuesday night and need to win by a score of 2-0 to retain the Cup. Pakistan beat the Taiwanese, 1-0, Sunday night.
