Holly Holm wins sixth straight fight, wants six figures from UFC

Former professional boxing world titleist and current rising MMA prospect, Holly Holm, improved her record to 6-0 last Friday. We've wondered just how long it will be until Holm is in the UFC fighting against the likes of Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano.

According to Holm's manager, Lenny Fresquez, Holm will fight in the UFC once the promotion is ready to pay up. Fresquez says that he and the UFC have already spoken about bringing Holm into the fold but thus far, the top MMA promotion hasn't offered enough money for Fresquez and Holm to bite.

"We're looking for six figures," he said of what kind of contract it would take to bring Holm to the UFC.

"There's not too many fighters that make six figures. Right now Holly earns probably more than 80 percent of the male fighters in the UFC, and probably earns more than 98 percent of the female fighters.

"I've had conversations with the UFC, with [UFC matchmaker] Sean Shelby - very nice guy. We're just on different pages with the UFC. There's no doubt we want we want to go to the UFC, at the right time. But right now the UFC's in a different league. The UFC doesn't have but maybe five girls that could really give Holly competition."

Fresquez believes that Holm has the potential to be the face of women's MMA in the UFC, and even called out the bantamweight champ Rousey.

"We'd like to work with [the UFC]. I don't want to be disrespectful to the UFC. But they also have to understand. They've bought Strikeforece, they've bought all these different ones. Holly's a franchise, as you can see. She's not just your normal fighter. She's more of a franchise, a key marquee. And to be honest with you, I think she'd represent the face of the UFC better than Ronda Rousey," he said.

Rousey, of course, next fights on Dec. 28 when she defends her belt against rival Miesha Tate at UFC 168. Watch Holm's last fight, a unanimous decision win over Angela Hayes on Friday night, below in two parts.

Do you think Holm is ready for the UFC's women's bantamweight division? If so, should the UFC dish out the cash to sign her?
