Brian Shaw really did rap a scouting report to his former Denver Nuggets (Video)

Look at this sick crew. (Getty Images)

Brian Shaw tried, he really tried, to get through to the Denver Nuggets last year. The team started out well enough, moving toward an 18-20 record midway through January, but he also failed to establish an identity, he assumed “millenials” was to be used as a pejorative, and he reportedly rapped at his young Nuggets in an attempt to get through to his crew.

“Reportedly” is no more. On Saturday, seemingly bored with the nationally televised playoff action, Nuggets guard Ty Lawson released a video clip of Shaw spitting hot fire:

Shaw was eventually fired after a 2-19 swoon left his Nuggets with a 20-39 record, and the team barely showed a pulse under interim coach Melvin Hunt. It was a mix of a bad roster, uneven health, and a coach that just didn’t know how to work with what he had.

At least Brian Shaw had those sick rhymes to offer.
