Nerlens Noel’s knee is officially healthy enough to dance to ‘Gangnam Style’ with kids (Video)

Bold prediction: This video clip of a Philadelphia 76ers center coming off a major knee injury dancing will meet a much warmer reception from Philly fans than the last video clip of a Sixers center coming off a major knee injury dancing.

Sure, that might be because No. 6 overall draft pick Nerlens Noel is dancing while working his way back to being able to getting on the court for the 76ers, whereas Andrew Bynum was dancing after having had a pair of knee surgeries that sealed a nightmarishly disappointing, injury-filled season in which he never actually suited up for Doug Collins' squad. I don't think the gaggle of kids or the flat-top hurt at all, though ... and now I'm envisioning Bynum with a flat-top, which seems like something that'd be worth pursuing with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, don't you think?

The 19-year-old former Kentucky Wildcats star's evident PSY-ish spryness seems in keeping with this cheery Monday update on his rehab from Gary B. Graves of The Associated Press:

"The knee feels great," said Noel, who had surgery on March 12 and is in the midst of rehabilitation period expected to last six to eight months.

"I'm just definitely staying after it, working hard, staying focused. As opposed to a timetable, I'm just (focused) on being careful, staying patient. I definitely want to come back a lot stronger than I was before." [...]

Noel, [Phoenix Suns rookie Archie] Goodwin and fellow former Wildcats Julius Mays and Twany Beckham were back on campus Monday assisting Kentucky coach John Calipari's pro camp for youth players.

Noel doesn't figure to be an active participant in Calipari's weeklong camp. But judging from his slow but smooth walk around Memorial Coliseum with his left leg wrapped, his recovery appears to be on track.

To say nothing of his sweet, sweet moves.

That reminds me: Some NBA team should do a "Gangnam Style" parody video. I bet it would be effortlessly funny, exceptionally well received and go viral instantaneously. Can't believe nobody's thought of that. #slackers.
