At this point in free agency, Roy Hibbert’s just waiting like the rest of us
The pace of free agency has slowed, with most of the available big names and likely difference-makers having already confirmed their decisions to stay put or search for greener pastures in the 29 days since bidding opened. There are still, however, some recognizable types on the market, and at this point in the summer, we're all just waiting on those last few dominoes to fall, whether we're lowly bloggers or 7-foot-2 rim-protecting, Central Division-patrolling giants:

Been there, Roy Hibbert/bro. Ugh. Just wish players and teams would be more timely in agreeing to terms, like you, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Indiana Pacers were last summer, you know? It's pretty frustrating, isn't it? It's like that Tom Petty song. No, the other one. No, the other one. Yep, that's it.
We might not be waiting much longer, though, Roy. Greg Oden's decision could be just just days away. Brandon Jennings has reportedly "strongly considered" signing the qualifying offer the Milwaukee Bucks extended him, which would pay him $4.53 million for the 2013-14 season and make him an unrestricted free agent next summer; one would suspect a deal could happen pretty quickly if he was willing to do that. And Nikola Pekovic ... well, OK, that one might still take a little while. That's just the price we pay for stuff like a hectic first three weeks of the offseason, having restricted free agency as a concept and wanting, y'know, a summer, I guess.
So hang in there, Roy. Keep playing with dogs, working out and staying hydrated, and we'll get through this quiet time together.
