TNT crew pays tribute to Craig Sager with garish suits for Hawks-Cavs Game 1

For the second straight year, the NBA playoffs have missed the inimitable splash of color provided by Craig Sager. The legendary sideline reporter's sartorial splendor and genteel demeanor were absent last spring, as he underwent treatment for acute leukemia, and have been gone this spring as well, as his return to work in March was cut short due to the return of his illness.

With TNT beginning its broadcast of the Eastern Conference finals between the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, the Turner Sports team decided to show some support for their colleague's ongoing fight against cancer, with members of the broadcast crew turning up in Sages-inspired attire — well, the most garish stuff they could manage, anyway — for Game 1:

While Sager took a break from his chemotherapy treatments to attend Game 7 between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, his fight continues. Hopefully, seeing his colleagues' signs of support put a smile on the great broadcaster's face. That's worth the trouble of adjusting the color balance on our TV sets any day.
