Mad Dash: Colin Kaepernick apologizes for social media gaffe

We've lauded some of the cooler moments Colin Kaepernick has shared on social media, but the San Francisco 49ers quarterback was a little too careless on Tuesday, and wound up having to apologize. Posting a photo of the devastating floods in Houston, Kaepernick wrote "I warned you the #7tormsComing !!! #Houston," and it went over about as well as you'd expect. He quickly backtracked and apologized for the bad form, and we're guessing he may be a little more careful next time he throws a joke into the sea of social media noise.

Zach LaVine ran away with the NBA Slam Dunk title this year, but we're starting to wish footballs were allowed in that contest after watching his latest YouTube video. Working out with trainer Drew Hanlen, LaVine ran receiver routes down the gym floor, leaping up to catch long passes before throwing them down. It didn't sound that awesome at first, but then we saw the clips.

North Carolina A&T running back Tarik Cohen went viral and wound up on SportsCenter last week thanks to his one-handed backflip catch on Instagram. He decided to top that this week by catching two footballs while doing a backflip. Tune in next week to see if he can catch three (maybe).
