Mad Dash: Nine-year-old girl wins center ice goal contest

The center ice goal contest at hockey games is not for the faint of heart. The margin for error is slim, and the pressure is high. That is, unless, you are 9-year-old Karleigh Nalette, who appears to possess nerves of steel and could not care less that thousands of people are watching. Nalette steps up to the shot with barely any build-up and promptly buries it without any fanfare. Just like that, she wins an iPhone 6 and walks off the ice. No big deal. The Charlotte Checkers have run that promotion for two years, and that's the first time anyone has won. Nalette is cooler than just about all of us.

If perhaps you think that the NFL and the thrills that come with it are not quite sufficient for a true adrenaline junkie, then Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy has an idea for how to get a rush. Levy posted photos to his Instagram account of him standing on top of a flying biplane, and they are something to behold.

Finally, if you're a coach that's been suspended, how do you watch your team? If you're in the top tier of leagues around the world, you can just watch on TV, of course. But what if your team isn't on TV? One coach in the lower divisions of English soccer found a way to watch his team despite a six-game suspension: He watched from the attic window of a house across the street from the stadium, and the pictures are fantastic.
