Mad Dash: Wood Air Jordans selling for $10K on eBay

When it comes to some superstars, just about any piece of memorabilia is available for fans who want something unique. That said, we're not so sure about this one. An intrepid eBay user is selling a pair of wood-carved Air Jordans for the princely sum of $10,000. We know people love Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan sneaker line, but this seems like a leap. The auction still has about five days left, and has yet to receive a bid, but it also feels like the sort of strange item that someone won't be able to resist buying, right? It wouldn't be the first thing on our list to purchase if we had an extra pile of cash sitting around, but that doesn't mean it won't be another fan's treasure. We'll keep an eye on this one.

We'd like to call for a moratorium on mayoral bets over playoff games and series between cities. These wagers are usually ridiculous, sort of pointless, and this time, the latest one is subjecting us to a grown man singing "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen. It's all a bit too much.

How confident is Edmonton Eskimos long snapper Ryan King in his abilities? He sat his younger cousin down on the lawn, put a soda can on top of his head, and then fired a snap straight back. The result was a perfectly hit target, and barely fazed relative. Pretty impressive.
