Man City fans display their support for David Moyes during match against West Brom

Monday night's match against West Brom was an important one for Man City. If they are to have any hope of coming back to beat Liverpool to the Premier League title, they absolutely had to win. So with that palpable sense of urgency, City fans at the Etihad made sure their support was resolute and clearly behind...Man United manager David Moyes.

Earlier in the day, rumors of Moyes' imminent sacking began to intensify. This followed yet another loss, this time at Everton, his former club, making this the first time Man United have ever lost all their games against Everton, Liverpool and Man City in one season. It also marks the first time since 1995 that Man United have not qualified for the Champions League.

Several City fans brought banners that expressed their half joking and half dead serious support for every supporter but Man United's favorite Man United manager.

That last one was no doubt inspired by a banner with a similar message and only slightly less unsettling picture of Moyes shown at Anfield last month.

Cruel? A bit. But at this point Moyes is probably just happy to have any support at all. Sarcastic or otherwise.
