Justin Bieber plays hoops against Chot Reyes in Tacloban
Justin Bieber experienced first hand just how much the Philippines loves the game of basketball. After performing for the victims of the typhoon Yolanda and some volunteers, Bieber was brought to a make-shift basketball court where he took on Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes in a friendly one-on-one game of hoops.
“Guess who's hoopin here in Tacloban” Reyes tweeted through his account @coachot. It included a picture of Bieber wearing a black cap and shirt on the mud court.

DJ Sta. Ana, TV5's Head of New Operations, then posted a photo of the pick-up game between Reyes and Bieber through his Instagram account.
When one Twitter user commented that Reyes showed Bieber he still had moves, the coach replied with "PUSO!," which was the Philippine team's battlecary during the FIBA-Asia Championship.

In the days after Yolanda struck Tacloban, pictures of Bieber started circulating with claims that the pop star was in the area. However, the pictures were apparently taken elsewhere. Bieber flew to Tacloban on-board his private jet to bring joy to the victims through his music. Bieber has also raised money for the victims through a global campaign with Prizeo.com.
Bieber is known to be a big fan of basketball. He has watched his share of Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat games. Bieber also joined the BBVA All-Star Celebrity Game in the 2011 NBA All Star Weekend.
