Alaska Goes For the #4 Spot, Air 21 Tries to Stay in Hunt

WHAT THIS GAME MEANS

Helping yourself.

For the Alaska Aces, they have a chance to help themselves get into a best-of-three series with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters with a big win to close out the eliminations. What happens if they lose? They will have to face San Mig Coffee with a twice-to-win disadvantage. And with the way the Mixers are playing, I don’t think that would be best for them.

For the Express, it is about making sure that they still have a chance of making it into the playoffs. Even if they win, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will force a playoff for that final spot. They are going to need a huge blowout victory by Talk ‘N Text (22 points to be exact). But, if they don’t get that W, it will all mean nothing.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

Chemistry.

The Express finally have some games under their belt with the new pieces that they have on their team. They have had some practices to try and get everyone on the same page. Now is the time to put that all into work.

If Air 21 cant get everything clicking just yet, they are going to be in for a long afternoon against the Aces. Asi needs to touch the ball down low more, Joseph needs to run in the open floor, and Zach needs to see those shots drop early. If they cant get what they need, they will be in deep trouble.

WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR

Mr. Wendell.

Wendell McKines is going to be a task to stop for the Air 21 Express. The Alaska Ace import is just a menace on the inside and can even stretch out the defense with his outside shooting. If he gets going, Air 21 is going to be in some real trouble.
