The Brian Viloria of old is back. The Hawaiian Punch landed a picture perfect left hand to the liver of Jose Alfredo Zuniga to score a fifth round knockout victory at the Cotai Arena in Macau.

Viloria raised his record to 34 wins against four losses with 20 of his wins coming via stoppage. Zuniga on the other hand fell to 11 wins against six losses and a draw.

The last time Viloria was in Macau, he lost his unified WBA and WBO flyweight titles to Juan Francisco Estrada via split decision. He returned to the Cotai Arena to exorcise the ghost of that loss and more importantly to give an impressive performance and force a rematch against his conqueror.

This was Viloria’s second straight victory after losing to Estrada. His first bounce back fight in March ended with a unanimous decision victory over Juan Herrera.

This time, the judges did not need to render their decisions as Viloria ended the fight with his fist.

The first two rounds of the fight saw the two fighters testing the waters and measuring the distance. Viloria amped his attack in the third round as he sent the Mexican reeling off a hard left to the head. The Hawaiian Punch nailed Zuniga with a three-punch combo in the third round to force the Mexican to bring his gloves up.

Viloria responded to this defense by digging down to the body, which ended the fight.
