Building champions for over 30 years

MILO has been building champions for over 30 years.

Great things start from small beginnings.

What kid hasn’t heard that line and sung its jingle while growing up? For years, MILO’s iconic anthem has represented a rousing journey to success and inspired great talents to rise above the challenges in sports and in life. Anchored on its passion to build a stronger nation of champions, MILO continues to lead the Philippine athletic community through grassroots sports development.

For over 30 years, MILO’s commitment to sports is resonated in programs such as the MILO Summer Sports Clinics, MILO-B.E.S.T (Basketball Efficiency & Scientific Training) Center, MILO Little Olympics, and the National MILO Marathon. These platforms have produced the likes of bemedalled gymnast Bea Lucero, basketball star Chris Tiu, and taekwondo phenom Japoy Lizardo.

Throughout the years, MILO has distinguished personas that embody the essence of true sportsmanship. “We at MILO believe that champions are not born but raised. We continue to recognize the triumphs of athletes across the country to ensure that our youth are able to see role models that they can look up to for guidance in besting the challenges of sports and life ahead,” said MILO Sports Executive Andrew Neri.

Graduates of MILO sports programs have gone beyond the call to exemplify remarkable character and values that young champions must emulate. They have carried the country’s pride in international competitions such as the Olympics, Southeast Asian Games, and the Asian Games.

“In drawing the champion out of each young individual, we are not only able to teach athletes how to grow their potential but also to share their athletic prowess. It is in this manner that we are able to bridge generations of champions,” added Neri.

True to its mission, MILO has inspired a wave of athletic excellence. In basketball, 1992 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie of the Year Bong Ravena passed the torch to sons Kiefer and Thirdy who have both proved worthy of recognition on and off-court. In athletics, original National MILO Marathon King Numeriano Titong blazed the trail for 74 men and women who now carry their respective titles. And in Athletics, Rio Dela Cruz cultivated what is now one of the fastest growing sports in the country –running.

MILO’s unwavering dedication to sports has helped build the brand’s success in the country. As the leading beverage brand celebrates its 50th year in the Philippines, the search for the next breed of champions stretches on. MILO will remain a trusted partner promoting sports involvement for holistic development of the youth today and the years to come.
