Frankie Edgar, Urijah Faber to headline UFC Fight Night in Manila

A five-round featherweight battle between Frankie “The Answer” Edgar and Urijah “The California Kid” Faber will be the main event of the much-anticipated arrival of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the Philippines.

Edgar (18-4-1), the former UFC lightweight champion and current number 1 ranked contender in the featherweight division, in currently on a three-fight winning streak.

After losing three straight decisions, twice to Benson Henderson and once to Jose Aldo, Edgar bounced back with wins over Charles Oliveira, BJ Penn, and Cub Swanson.

Faber on the other hand is coming off victories over Alex Caceres and Francisco Rivera, both by submission. He is currently ranked third in the bantamweight division. However, since his good friend TJ Dillashaw is the reigning champion in the division, Faber decided to go back to move up and fight Edgar.
