Heat welcome Gilas Pilipinas to Miami
Welcome to Miami, @coachot and @smartgilasph! We hope your training camp for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup is going well!

The Miami Heat organization welcomed Gilas Pilipinas to their city, via their Twitter account:
Whoa! “@MiamiHEAT: Welcome to Miami, @coachot & @smartgilasph! We hope ur training camp for 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup is going well!” — Chot Reyes (@coachot) July 28, 2014
@MiamiHEAT Yes it is! Thanks for the welcome. Hope you could drop by so we can visit
— Chot Reyes (@coachot) July 28, 2014
Gilas head coach Chot Reyes was floored by the greeting, and added, “Hope you could drop so we can visit,” presumably meaning the team’s head coach, Fil-Am Erik Spoelstra.
You can check out video highlights of Gilas’ first day in Miami here.
And maybe it’s just me, but it would have been cool if the Heat attached this video to their greeting:
