(UPDATE 4) Letran Knights point guard Franz Dysam is reportedly in stable condition after being shot six times Saturday night inside his car in San Juan.

"As of now, Franz Dysam is in stable condition. For security reasons, transferred to another hospital. -Fr.Vic" tweeted Letran College (@LetranCollege) early Sunday morning.

Dysam's room reportedly has 24-hour security  with no visitors allowed.

"Dyzam update: no visitors allowed. 2 police and 1 security detail. Transferred t another hosp#for security reasons", tweeted Fr. Vic Calvo, OP, Letran's athletic director (@victorcalvo88)

Dysam was shot and wounded while his wife, Joan, was shot and later died in the hospital after the two were reportedly fired upon by unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen in San Juan early Saturday evening.

The incident reportedly happened at the corner of N. Domingo St. and Araneta Ave., just minutes after Dysam and his wife left The Arena in San Juan following the Knights' 61-53 win over the Lyceum Pirates in the NCAA.

"Letran Knight Franz Dysam was shot around the intersection of N. Domingo and Araneta Ave. 4-5 shots ang count. #PrayForFranzDysam," Letran College tweeted on the school's official Twitter account (@LetranCollege).

Further reports said Dysam was shot in the chest and leg but was conscious when rushed to the San Juan Medical Center.

"Shot by riding in tandem just after the game. Was hit in the chest by .45 cal. -fr vic #PrayForFranzDysam & his wife" was another tweet from Letran College.

Minutes later, Fr. Calvo was quoted by Letran College on Twitter as saying that Dysam's wife had already died.

"Letran's Fr. Vic Calvo confirms that Letran player Franz Dysam's wife declared dead. OMG"

The 24-year-old Dysam sat out last season, when the Knights reached the NCAA Finals, and was making a comeback this season. As of this writing, Letran coach Caloy Garcia was unavailable for comment, although he was quoted by Inquirer.net as having said that he was able to talk to Dysam and that the player was responsive. Latest reports also said that the San Juan police already had a suspect in mind.

Dysam was transferred to the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital late Saturday night "for bullet extraction" before being transferred one last time to the undisclosed hospital. According to the school's tweets, the cager was hit six times in the upper left chest, outer left hip and inner right thigh, while his wife succumbed to a single gunshot wound to the body.
