NBA: Marion to miss at least three games for Dallas
Four-time NBA All-Star forward Shawn Marion will miss the next three games for the Dallas Mavericks with a left knee injury before being re-evaluated next week, the team announced on Tuesday. Marion suffered a sprained medial collateral knee ligament in the third quarter of a 114-91 victory over Portland on Monday. The Mavericks said Marion, 34, will not play in Wednesday's home game against Toronto and will not travel with the team on a two-game road trip to New York and Charlotte. Marion has averaged 8.0 points and 9.0 rebounds a game in the first week of the new NBA season and has career NBA averages of 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds a game. The Mavericks are 3-1, trailing only unbeaten San Antonio, which has the NBA's best record at 4-0, in the NBA Southwest division.
