NBA: Mavs coach fined for slating refs

The NBA fined Dallas coach Rick Carlisle $25,000 on Saturday for public criticism of the officiating in the Mavericks' game-three playoff loss to Houston. Carlisle, who thought the officials let the Rockets get away with overly physical play, said he accepted the punishment, but wasn't sorry he spoke. "I have strong feelings about how I feel about my team," he said. "I"m going to fight for my team. That's the way it's going to be." The Mavericks lost game three 130-128 and now face elimination in the best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series in game four on Sunday.
