NBA: Thunder's Durant undergoes successful foot surgery

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant underwent season-ending bone graft surgery Tuesday on his right foot, a procedure that could see him resume playing in four to six months. Last season's NBA Most Valuable Player underwent the successful operation in New York four days after the team announced Durant would have the operation and miss the remainder of the campaign. Durant has not played since February 19. He underwent a procedure a few days later to ease soreness from a screw inserted into his foot last October to repair a broken bone at the base of his small toe. Durant did not make his season debut until December 2 but played in 27 games, averaging 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists. At 42-32, the Thunder rank eighth in the Western Conference, 2 1/2 games ahead of New Orleans in the fight for the final West playoff spot with 10 games to play.
