Neymar sets a bad example for young children, claims Corinthians boss Tite

Tite has hit out at Neymar, describing the Santos attacker as a "bad example" to children following his antics in Corinthians' 3-2 defeat at Vila Belmiro on Sunday.

The Timao boss was left furious after the Brazil international appeared to have escaped a red card for a stamp on full-back Guilherme Andrade during the weekend's Brasileirao clash, forcing the 51-year-old to condemn the forward's unsavoury conduct.

"Guilherme was trampled on by Neymar," Tite told reporters.

"How many times have we played them and what was the level of sportsmanship from Corinthians?

"When we faced them in the Copa Libertadores, Emerson made a reckless challenge on Neymar and was sent off for it.

"Neymar fell to the ground and rolled around. When Emerson was sent off, he got up and was fine.

"Losing and winning is part of football, but simulating a situation to gain an advantage is not.

"It's a bad example for a child who is growing up, like my son."
