Are You Ready? UAAP Season 77 Men’s and Women’s Basketball 1st Round Schedule
In less than two weeks, another season of the UAAP will begin. It has been a crazy offseason for the UAAP with a lot of issues regarding the residency rule and the possibility of new recruits from the different teams. Before you dive into the world of college hoops, make sure you know the schedule of your favorite team.
Below is the revised schedule of the Men’s basketball season:
July 12 (Araneta) – 2 PM. UE vs UP, 4PM. DLSU vs. FEU
July 13 (Araneta) – 2 PM. ADMU vs. ADU, 4 PM. NU vs. UST
July 16 (MOA) – 2 PM. ADU vs. NU, 4 PM. FEU vs. UE
July 19 (Araneta) – 2 PM. UP vs. UST, 4 PM. DLSU vs. ADU
July 20 (MOA) – 2 PM. NU vs. UE, 4 PM. FEU vs. ADMU
July 23 (Araneta) – 2 PM. ADMU vs. UP, 4 PM. NU vs. DLSU
July 26 (Araneta) – 2 PM. UST vs. ADU, 4 PM. UE vs. DLSU
July 27 (MOA) – 2 PM. UP vs. FEU, 4 PM. ADMU vs. NU
July 30 (MOA) – 2 PM. UST vs. UE, 4 PM. ADU vs. FEU
August 2 (Araneta) – 11 PM. NU vs. UP, 4 PM. DLSU vs. ADMU
August 3 (Araneta) – 2 PM. ADU vs. UE, 4 PM. UST vs. FEU
August 6 (Araneta) – 2 PM. UP vs. DLSU, 4 PM. ADMU vs. UST
August 9 (MOA) – 2 PM. ADU vs. UP, 4 PM. NU vs. FEU
August 10 (MOA) – 2 PM. UE vs. ADMU, 4 PM. DLSU vs. UST
One notable change that you should look out for is the first meeting between defending champions DLSU Green Archers and archrival ADMU Blue Eagles. The two teams were initially set to face on July 19, a week after the opening ceremonies. With the revised schedule, they are now set to meet on August 2, 4PM at the Araneta Coliseum. The first game of the NU Bulldogs and the UP Fighting Maroons will be on 11AM. As in previous seasons, tickets for the Ateneo-La Salle tickets will be sold separately from the first game.
Now we look at the Women’s Basketball schedule:
The Women’s Division of the UAAP kicks off between FEU Lady Tamaraws and host UE Lady Warriors on July 13. Defending champs Lady Archers will begin their campaign for another crown against the UST Tigresses at 3PM on the same day. All Women’s game in the first round will be held at the Blue Eagle Gym in Ateneo.
