San Miguel Aims To Seal Number 2 Seed Against Air21
WHAT THIS GAME MEANS
Twice-to-beat advantage/disadvantage.
For SMB, winning tonight can get seal them the number 2 seed for that twice-to-beat advantage.
As for the Express, they are in the jungle that is the bottom half of the playoff bracket. They already booked a quarterfinals appearance. What’s still hanging, though, is what seed they will place. Before they worry about who they will face, they’ll have to find a way to avoid a twice-to-beat disadvantage.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
Battle of the big boys.
Asi versus June Mar. Exciting, diba? I really wouldn’t call it ‘then versus now’. I’m too afraid Asi might get pissed.
Nonetheless, it’s always a treat for fans when The Rock goes up against younger centers in the league. You see a different kind of look on his face – as if he considers it a challenge to prove his never-fading youth.
Tonight, we’re in for another Asi vs youngin battle. And you know June Mar isn’t going down easily. This should be a good match-up.
WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR
Eloy Poligrates.
Last game, the Cebuano streetball legend came up huge despite his team losing to Rain or Shine. He’s a guy everyone loves. I saw Araneta Coliseum came alive when he made that steal and lay-up to bring the Express within one possession in the dying seconds. Even the Elastopainters fans couldn’t help but applaud Eloy.
Paul Lee may have gotten the better of Poli last game. But I’d love to some more Cebu showtime tonight.
