France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga returns the ball to his Italian opponent Andreas Seppi during their ATP Moselle Open final tennis match in Metz, eastern France. Tsonga comfortably defended his Metz title with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Italian fifth seed Andreas Seppi

French top seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga comfortably defended his Metz title on Sunday with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Italian fifth seed Andreas Seppi. It took just under an hour for world number seven Tsonga to claim his second title of the year and ninth of his career. The 27-year-old was also the champion in Doha in January, where he defeated compatriot Gael Monfils, and made the semi-finals at Wimbledon, Marseille and Winston-Salem. "Today I played a complete match. I played very, very well," said Tsonga. "I am happy to have defended my title which has given me a little boost. "I don't need to find a phrase to sum up my week, just a word. Perfect."
