With the GST hike as an excuse for inflating prices of everyday things, it may feel like our purchasing power is diminishing. Gone were the days when you could get a decent cup of kopi o with less than a dollar. This price inflation is even more obvious in airfares as the travel industry picks up after COVID-19 has done its damage.

Luckily for us Singapore travellers, airfares to certain destinations have seen significant price drops over the past year according to a report by Skyscanner. The flight comparison site has also found that “value for money remains a key factor for Singapore travellers, with the cost of the flight (48 per cent) and hotel (14 per cent) being the biggest factors determining the destination.”

Almost half (47 per cent) of Singapore travellers also intend to spend more on travel this year. So if you’re hoping to get more bang for your buck, consider travelling to these 10 best-value destinations this year.
