Erma Fatima apologises to Singaporeans over Sarah Yasmine issue

3 May - Erma Fatima recently apologised after expressing her ire with Sarah Yasmine for supposedly causing chaos in the Malaysian entertainment industry.

The filmmaker, who previously made a statement saying that Sarah, who caused a commotion for admitting to be Aliff Aziz's girlfriend and exposing several artistes including Ruhainies, should go back to Singapore and resolve the matter privately.

"Where is the MCMC? What is the Ministry of Communications doing to stop foreigners from coming in and destroying the country's arts industry? I understand how disappointed she feels after being abandoned by her lover after giving him everything, but don't come here and destroy the Malaysian entertainment industry," she said.

In a statement to Roslan Shah via Instagram Live, Erma was quoted saying that she is sorry if her previous statement has hurt Singaporeans but that she will not change her stance about Sarah Yasmine.

"There is no reason for me to make enemies with Singaporeans. I just do not like the way the woman humiliated people who have nothing to do with Aliff's case. I brought Aaron Aziz and Adi Putra into the industry and they were welcomed wholeheartedly because they have a good behaviour," she said.

It is noted that Chacha Maembong and Emma Maembong previously had to make clarifications after some of the WhatsApp chats between Aliff Aziz and Ruhainies leaked by Sarah mentioned the two supposedly being in support of the couple.
